$2 Million Hospital Based Medicare Home Health Agency in Oregon

UNDER LOI

American HealthCare Capital is pleased to offer a 27 year old Medicare home health agency that operates off the campus of a regional medical center in southeast Oregon. The company’s service area spans a 33 mile radius from their location, which can be expanded if desired. While the hospital has some union employees, the home heath agency is not required to hire or employ union workers.

The hospital has elected to sell the Medicare agency because the allocated expenses and the cost of running the operation does not justify the ongoing losses. Although this is a common phenomenon for most hospitals, they have decided to divest this division immediately. However, because they will be providing a post-sale referral agreement to a new owner, the hospital will only sell to a company that will maintain the same quality of care as they currently provide. The agency is a full service provider and its license has no deficiencies. After hospital contractions, 2010 collected revenues were in the $1.9 Million range. Based on the first 9 months of 2011, they are on pace to reach $2.1 Million by the end of the year. The census fluctuates between 150 and 175 patients and could be easily increased by marketing to potential patients outside of the hospital.

The seller is asking $1.5 Million for the Medicare agency, FF&E and the upside potential. If you would like to learn more, please contact us for a Confidentiality Agreement that will allow us to share more detailed information with you.
